AdminConsole
Lanview AdminConsole is a local command-line administration tool installed with Lanview Server.
It is intended for local Server administration, first administrator bootstrap and recovery tasks when Studio is not available.
How AdminConsole differs from Studio
Lanview Studio is the normal graphical administration application.
AdminConsole is a local command surface used on the Server machine. It connects to the local Server service rather than using the remote Studio/admin network connection.
Use AdminConsole for local bootstrap and recovery. Use Studio for normal day-to-day administration.
Common uses
AdminConsole is used to:
- check Server status locally
- create the first Server administrator account when bootstrap is required
- inspect Server paths
- check security status
- run local recovery commands where supported
- diagnose local admin pipe connectivity
Useful commands
security.status
security.login <username>
security.whoami
server.status
server.paths
admin.pipeinfo
The first administrator bootstrap command is available when bootstrap is required. Use the installer or AdminConsole documentation for the exact bootstrap process.
Local Windows access to the Server machine is required.
Two-factor authentication recovery
Some two-factor authentication recovery commands are available only from local console surfaces.
These commands should be treated as break-glass recovery tools, not routine administration. Their use is audited.
Cautions
Keep passwords, recovery codes and trusted-device material out of screenshots and examples.
